Joe Grundy
Joe’s background in health care comes from his work related to issues of health reform and primary care policy. Most of this took place while he served as a Director for the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative, one of the leading voices in health delivery redesign both in- and outside of Washington DC. Within this role Joe served as the primary, active, lobbyist for the Collaborative in representing the specific interests of major employers, primary care physicians, consumer groups, health plans, and many other stakeholders. In addition much of his professional life was taken up by trying to organize consensus in these otherwise disparate, and often historically conflicting, voices. Having left behind the Washington policy circles, Joe now works with TransforMED, directly implementing real health reform at the grassroots level. In his role with TransforMED, he works with physicians and practices to improve health care for Americans by transforming practices to align with the new Patient-Centered Medical Home model.
